Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how paid subscriptions renew, how to cancel one, and when a payment made to CVTone AI can be refunded. It applies to every purchase made at cvtone.com — the Starter, Pro, and Elite monthly subscriptions, and one-time purchases of additional Points. It forms part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the same laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; where this policy and the Terms address the same point, the Terms govern. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws that apply where you live. We may update this policy, and the version that applies to a purchase is the one published on this page on the day you were charged.

The Free Plan

The Free plan is free. No card is required to use it and no charge is ever taken for it, so there is nothing to refund. This policy becomes relevant only once you subscribe to a paid plan or buy a one-time Points pack.

How Paid Subscriptions Are Billed

  • Starter, Pro, and Elite are monthly subscriptions. Subscribing authorises a charge that repeats every month until you cancel it.
  • Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month, at the price in effect for your country at the time of that renewal, including any tax applied there. Prices can change, and any change applies only from a future renewal — never to a charge already taken.
  • Each charge pays for the month ahead. Once it is taken, that month is yours to use, whether or not you use it.
  • Points packs are one-time purchases. They are not subscriptions and they do not renew.
  • Cancelling before your renewal date prevents the next charge. It does not reverse a charge that has already been taken.

Cancelling a Subscription

  • You can cancel at any time from your Account settings: open Account, then Points & Plan, and choose Cancel subscription. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
  • You keep full access until the end of your current billing period. After that you return to the Free plan.
  • To avoid the next charge, cancel before your subscription renews — it renews one month after your most recent charge. A cancellation made after a renewal charge has already been taken applies to the following period.
  • Cancelling does not delete your account or the work you have already saved, and you can subscribe again at any time.
  • If you were charged after your cancellation had already taken effect, that is a billing error rather than a cancellation question, and we will refund it.

Cancelling Is Not a Refund

Cancelling stops future charges; it does not reverse the charge for the period you are already in. We do not issue prorated or partial refunds for the unused remainder of a billing period, because your access is never withdrawn early — you keep everything you paid for right up to the day that period ends. If you cancel the day after a renewal, you keep the whole month you have paid for. If you cancel the day before, no further charge is taken.

Refunds for Billing Errors

  • We refund charges that should not have been taken. A billing error means a duplicate charge for the same subscription period or the same one-time purchase, a charge taken after your cancellation had already taken effect, or an amount that does not match the price in effect for your plan at the time that charge was taken.
  • Tell us within 14 days of the date the charge was taken. We check every request against our own billing records and against the payment records held by Paddle.
  • Where we confirm a billing error we put it right in full: a duplicate charge is returned in full, and an incorrect amount is refunded down to the correct one.
  • A charge is not a billing error because you forgot to cancel, did not use the month you paid for, or changed your mind. Requests of that kind, and requests made more than 14 days after the charge, are considered at our discretion rather than as of right.
  • A charge you did not authorise at all is not subject to the 14-day window. Tell us as soon as you notice it, whenever that is.

Points and Points Packs

  • Our Terms of Service state that Points are non-refundable. That remains the rule, and nothing in this section changes it: once any Point from a pack has been used, that purchase is final.
  • The monthly Points included with a paid plan are part of that plan rather than a separate purchase. They reset at the start of each billing cycle and are not refundable, whether or not you used them.
  • Points that come with your plan are valid for 30 days from the day they are added to your balance. Points bought in a Points pack are valid for 365 days from purchase. Points that expire unused cannot be restored and are not refundable. Your current balance and its expiry date are shown on the Points & Plan page.
  • A Points pack is a one-time purchase, bought from Account, then Points & Plan, under Buy more Points. The Points are added to your balance as soon as the payment completes, so the purchase is delivered to you in full at the moment you make it, subject to the 30-day validity above.
  • If you bought a pack and your Points balance has not since fallen below the number of Points that pack added — that is, you have not spent into it — contact us within 14 days and we will consider a refund as a goodwill gesture. That decision is ours to make, case by case: it sets no precedent, creates no entitlement, and does not oblige us to reach the same decision on a later request. Where we do refund an unused pack, its Points are removed from your balance.
  • Separately, if an AI action fails, the Points it cost are normally returned to your balance automatically, and you do not need to ask. That is a correction inside the product, not a payment refund. If a failed action ever leaves your balance short, tell us and we will put it right.

How an Approved Refund Is Processed

  • Paddle is our merchant of record: Paddle sells the subscription or Points pack to you on our behalf, handles the payment and any tax, and carries out any refund we approve. We decide whether a refund is approved; Paddle issues it on our instruction.
  • Because Paddle is the merchant of record, both the charge and the refund may appear on your bank or card statement under Paddle’s name rather than CVTone. An unfamiliar Paddle line is very often a CVTone charge.
  • An approved refund is returned to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card, to a different account, or to a different person.
  • Once issued, a refund usually takes 5 to 10 business days to reach you, and the exact timing is set by your bank or card issuer. Refunds are made in the currency of the original charge, so if your bank converted that amount, the sum you receive back can differ slightly as exchange rates move. Bank charges and card-issuer fees are applied by your bank, not by us.
  • Where we refund a charge in full, the tax charged on it is refunded with it, and the access that charge paid for ends: a refunded subscription period returns the account to the Free plan.

How to Request a Refund

  • Email support@notify.cvtone.com, or use the form on our Contact page and choose Billing as the subject.
  • Write from the email address on your CVTone account, or tell us what that address is — we match requests to accounts by email.
  • Include the date and the amount of the charge, what it was for, and the transaction reference from your purchase confirmation if you have it. Tell us in a line or two what happened and what you are asking for.
  • We typically reply within 24 hours. If we need anything further we will ask for it in that first reply, and the 14-day window runs from the date of the charge, not from the date you send us the missing details.
  • Please come to us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank. A dispute takes the transaction out of our hands and almost always takes longer to resolve than a direct request. If we approve a refund we confirm the amount; if we decline it, we tell you why.
